The American culture has changed dramatically over the last 50 years.  For some churches it has been difficult to make culturally relevant changes while holding fast to solid theological underpinnings.  For others, they find themselves at a place of needing to expand in order achieve the mission God has placed before them.  Regardless of your church's situation, we are all called to reach people for Christ, and we all want to see His church thrive. In order to do so, we have to challenge ourselves to think differently...

Momentum 2012 will answer many of the questions that the church of today needs to address including: How does our community view us? Do we welcome our congregation, more than our guests? Do all large churches have to be theologically shallow and politically correct? Would someone who is unfamiliar with our traditions/routines feel lost during a worship service or event? Are we waiting for the community to come to us, or meeting them and their needs where they are? Are we trying to do more than what we can actually do well?

Identify your U-Turn team and set aside May 14 and 15 to challenge the way you think about church, outreach, mission, and your church's potential.
